I was upset to learn of the passing of Guy Babylon, who died in Los Angeles on 2nd September aged just 52 years old.I admired Guy as a musician, and was very lucky to see him perform four times in the last year. At a recent Elton John show in Las Vegas earlier in the year, I was extremely fortunate to be sitting about 20 feet from him, and could see, as well as hear the enormous contribution he made to Sir Elton's band.
Guy had played over 1,300 shows for Elton John in a relationship that lasted over twenty years. He was also a successful arranger and composer in his own right; winning a Grammy Award in 2001 for his arrangement of the stage musical Aida.

My life has been enriched more than I could possibly express thanks to musicians like Guy Babylon. Rest in Peace.
